Recently, Qualcomm, ZTE and China Mobile officially announced the successful realization of the world's first end-to-end 5G new air interface system interoperability based on the 3GPP R15 standard. This interoperability demonstration was carried out in the China Mobile 5G Joint Innovation Center Laboratory, using ZTE's 5G new air interface pre-commercial base station and Qualcomm's 5G new air interface terminal prototype. As an important achievement of the three parties' continued cooperation, the end-to-end 5G new air interface system interoperability was also demonstrated for the first time at the exhibition.

On November 17, Qualcomm, ZTE and China Mobile officially announced the successful realization of the world’s first end-to-end 5G new air interface system interoperability (IoDT) based on the 3GPP R15 standard.

The end-to-end 5G new air interface system runs in the 3.5GHz frequency band and supports a large bandwidth of 100MHz. The protocol implementation fully complies with the new air interface Layer 1 architecture defined by the 3GPP R15 standard, including scalable OFDM parameter configuration, advanced new channel coding and modulation schemes, And the low-latency self-contained frame structure can efficiently realize a single user's Gbit-level transmission rate, and the air interface delay is significantly reduced compared with 4G.
